Tech Lead (PHP) - Professional Services Team (m/f/d)

We are looking for a skilled Tech Lead (PHP) (m/f/d) to join our Professional Services team starting at the earliest on January 1, 2025. In this pivotal role, you will help our customers unlock the full potential of the Core1 platform by delivering innovative, tailored solutions. Combining hands-on development with strategic leadership, you will guide technical projects, foster customer success, and drive excellence across the team.

Your Tasks

Technical Leadership: 

• You lead the development of solutions that enable customers to fully leverage the Core1 platform’s capabilities. 

• As the primary technical authority, you ensure high-quality outcome for Professional Services projects. 

• You provide mentorship and guidance to the engineering team, fostering their technical growth. 

Customer-Centric Solutions: 

• You collaborate with customers to understand their goals and identify opportunities to optimize their use of the Core1 platform. 

• You develop scalable, secure, and efficient solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. 

• You ensure smooth deployment and seamless operation within customer environments. 

Project Collaboration: 

• You partner with cross-functional teams to align on customer requirements and deliverables. 

• You serve as a trusted advisor, addressing both technical and business challenges. 

Code Quality and Innovation: 

• You uphold high coding standards through rigorous reviews, testing, and best practices. 

• You drive technical innovations to enhance the platform’s flexibility and improve customer success. 

Customer Enablement: 

• You provide documentation, training, and support to help customers effectively utilize the Core1 platform. 

• You actively contribute to refining and enhancing Professional Services processes. 

Your Profile

• Experience:

  • You have 5+ years of PHP development experience, including systems integration and solution delivery. 

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in PHP frameworks (e.g. Symfony, Laravel) 

  • Proficient in MySQL and database management principles 

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations 

  • Familiarity with enterprise systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset 

  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of bridging technical and business conversations 

  • Leadership skills with experience mentoring or guiding teams 

• Languages:

  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English

Preferred additional Qualifications:

• Experience in Professional Services or other customer-facing roles 

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) for full-stack integration needs 

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. 

• Prior experience optimizing SaaS platforms for enterprise customers. 

• Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of relevant work.
