FAQ

Do I need a cover letter?

Can I submit an initiative application?

Yes, please! We are always interested in motivated people and are also flexible enough so that we can look together for a fitting position for you.

How long does an application process take on average?

We are interested in keeping the application process as short as possible. However, in order to ensure a thoughtful selection, we must take the time to look at each profile individually. This can take different amounts of time depending on the number of applications received. On average, the entire application process takes about three to four weeks. If you need feedback any earlier, you can always contact us at hr@actindo.com to ask about the current status.

Who will see my documents when I apply?

Responsible and confidential handling of your data is particularly important to us. We pay a lot of attention to the GDPR, so that only the HR team and people directly involved in the application process can view your application documents. You can find more detailed information on data handling in our privacy policy.

I am studying and would like to gain practical experience. To what extent is this possible at Actindo?

We are always interested in students and are happy to support them in their start into the professional world. Whether it's a working student position, a dual study program, an internship or a direct career start - if you are motivated, we are even more so! With us, you will be fully integrated into our team right from the start. There are no standard tasks waiting for you; instead, you can develop freely and express your individuality. After your studies, we will be happy to discuss your possible permanent employment with us. For an internship, we expect you to be available for at least four months, preferably six months. A working student position makes sense for us if you would like to work an average of at least 15 hours per week.

What does our application process look like?

Once we have received your application, the HR team and the relevant department will carefully review your application documents. If your profile matches the position for which you have applied, we invite you to a virtual interview via MS Teams. This get-to-know-you meeting takes place with a recruiter and the responsible supervisor. The aim of this meeting is for us to get to know each other and find out to what extent our values and ideas are compatible. Afterwards you will receive a business case, which you can present in a second virtual meeting. In this meeting we will go into more detail about your skills and competencies as well as the future position. If both sides can imagine working together in the future, we will be happy to make you an offer. Generally, our interviews take place digitally. However, depending on the position, it may make sense for us to meet in person at one of our offices in Cologne or Ismaning. Depending on the area and job level, the process may be different.

Which business case will I be working on?

In a second interview, it is usual to work on a small business case. The task depends on the position you have applied for.  Please do not think of this as an exam. The practical task helps us to better assess your skills and way of thinking and serves as a support for a subsequent professional exchange. Our business case also gives you a direct insight into your future activities and therefore enables you to better assess to what extent the offered position actually suits you.

How do I prepare for the interviews in general?

In general, you don't have to prepare anything - we want to get to know you as a person. Just be yourself, that's enough for us. Of course we'll also talk about your professional qualifications, skills and interests, but especially in the get-to-know-you interview, our focus is on your motivation, your values and how you might fit into our company.

What does remote work look like at Actindo?

We like to be flexible and organize our lives the way we want. That's why we work completely remotely. This means that we can be wherever we want. We will be happy to explain the exact conditions to you personally in our application process. Nevertheless, we also love to meet in person on a regular basis. Whether company-wide or within a team, the next meeting is always being planned! And if you miss the office routine, you can simply go to one of our offices in Ismaning or Cologne or book a co-working space near you.
